SUMMER LIBRARY FUN FOR GROUPS (DAY CARE, SUMMER CAMPS ETC.)
We encourage group leaders to make reading and the library a part of their summer plans. We have a number of options to help you do so, which are outlined below. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Children's Librarian Michele Timby at 296-4902 or mtimby@nioga.org.
PERFORMANCES
We welcome you to join us for the following performances. Please
call us in advance to let us know that you will be attending and how many
people will be in your group.
Dig Into Reading Show with Mike Randall and Friends - All Ages

Dig Into Reading delivers
a powerful message about the importance of reading through exciting mix of
unforgettable puppet characters, magic, ventriloquism, storytelling, and LOTS
of audience participation.

STORYTIME FIELD TRIPS
We are also offering library field trip
sessions for groups on the following Thursday mornings at 11:00am: July 11, 18,
25 & August 1, 8. Each session
includes stories, games, activities and a craft based on the Dig Into Reading
theme. We can schedule one session per
group on a first-come, first-served basis.

READING CLUB FOR GROUPS
Finally, be sure to sign up for our
Group Reading Club! We will supply you
with reading logs for each child in your program, and each day that they read
independently or are read to, they get to color in a block. After 30 days of reading are completed, each
child in your group will receive a certificate and a coupon for a free Frosty
at Wendy’s.
