FUN WITH SCIENCE

Kitchen Science with Nature Ed-Ventures - Ages 7-12
Mix up cool science concoctions….some will fizz, some will explode and others will be just plain messy! Create a soap drop derby, make ink then participate in a lesson on chromatography, launch bubble rockets, mix your own slime to take home, and play with outrageous ooze. Learn about matter, molecules and their interactions. CHILDREN MUST BE AT LEAST 7 YEARS OLD TO PARTICIPATE.

Digging for Dinosaurs with the Buffalo Museum of Science - Ages 4 - 8
Children play paleontologists as they examine the fossilized teeth, horns, and claws of various dinosaurs to learn about the unique adaptations of these ancient beasts! They’ll also dig up and assemble their own dinosaur skeleton as they venture into prehistoric times.

Hard Rock Café with the Buffalo Museum of Science - Ages 9 - 12
Museum educators will be at the library with cool rocks from their collections! Students will work in teams to identify rocks and how they form and learn about the rock cycle while exploring plate tectonics and earthquakes.

JUST FOR OLDER KIDS

Dig In! Delicious and easy no-cook snacks you can make. Ages 10 – 12
We’ll be learning how to make some tasty treats with an emphasis on healthy eating in this mainly hands-on class. Please advise us of any food allergies your child might have. We will do our best to accommodate them.
